Boy did my life change over the last 2 weeks

Hey Everyone!
Wow! What a crazy week it's been here for me and I'm sure you all have been busy back home as well too! I'll comment first on what you guys have been up to, then I'll let ya know what's been going on here on the other side of the world. First of all, Elder Dodd is not Chinese. His parents are Caucasian and he's actually one of my favorite Elders out here. We get along very well, and he's a great worker. Elder Lau is Chinese. There's two in the Mission right now, both from Hong Kong. One is finishing his Mission at the end of this move in three weeks, who is actually from T.S.T. Ward and his dad is the Bishop, and the other is serving in another area, which I'll get to later. I think you mean the one that is going home soon though. I've served around him for a while, so I'm pretty sure it's him. Yes, that other Elder was Elder Cope with the picture of the big glasses. We were on 24's in T.K.O. (his area) when we took it. The mountain we climbed is called Lion's Rock. I've done it a few times and every time it's always way fun and so pretty! It's not Victoria Peak. That's a whole different thing that I'll take you guys to when you come. The picture you used for the Christmas Card was a Ward Activity in Chai Wan and we were hiking up to Victoria Peak. It wasn't at the top though, just on the way. Wow, Mom, you have been WAY busy with the scrapbook! That's amazing in itself that you're even doing this! Mom...I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! You know that? Well, now ya do! I've heard a little about the tornados here, but not a whole lot. That's so sad! Well, all we can do is continue to humble ourselves, and trust in the Lord that no matter what happens, it will be for our good. That would be awesome if you could send some ideas for District Meetings and stuff! Thank you so much! I can't really give any specific ideas, but just whatever you think I'm sure will be great! Last District Meeting I chose the topic of "Remember The Name." I'm sure Steph knows that song! Haha! You know whatsup Steph! Anyways, it was focused towards remembering Christ in all we do and why it is we do what we do. Why we have trials and hardships as Missionaries, and how we can overcome these and learn to rejoice when we do get them and overcome them. The point is, I shared the poem you sent me that's titled, "He's Been There Before." EVERYONE loved it and wanted a copy. Even when I would read it to myself every now and then, I would get all choked up, and especially when I was reading it on Monday, I for sure got all choked up. So, I just wanna thank you guys for sending me that in the first place and to keep stuff like that coming! I love it so much! Ok, well, my week was a little hectic. So, I e-mailed you guys on Thursday and then that very night, maybe like 4 hours later, I got a call from the A.P.'s saying that I'm being moved to another area...I couldn't believe it! Elder Poon and I had just started to get T.S.T. getting back on it's feet and rolling again, and now I'm leaving? What?! But, I of course accepted with no complaints or questions, because no matter where or when I go, it's all coming from the Lord, and whatever He wants, I WILL DO! So, I was told that I was going to move to MACAU! That is definitely not part of Hong Kong, but does include the China, Hong Kong Mission! TONS of Missionaries only dream of serving there because it's such a rare place to go. 6 Elders, 2 Sisters, and 1 Senior Couple serve there. I was also called to be a Zone Leader over the Macau Zone as well! Guess who was already there serving as Zone Leader too? Just guess? Elder Merrill! Oh, Elder Merrill and I go way back serving as Zone Leaders together, if you guys remember. Does MTC ring a bell? We served as Zone Leaders in the MTC over a few Districts and now we're serving as Zone Leaders in Macau together! So, it looks like you guys will need to add something new up on the board, or however it is you're doing it back home cuz I'm far from Hong Kong now. It's different though, cuz Elder Merrill and I aren't companions, but we're both Zone Leaders. We each have a Native companion. My companion's name is Elder Lau. He was actually trained by Elder Feigleson and that's why I got kicked out of Chai Wan and moved to Ma On Shan. It was sad to leave T.S.T....Especially, the investigators and members. I was developing such a good relationship with them, but now I have a great chance to develop a relationship with the people of Macau! I can't really tell you guys a whole lot about it because I really only got here like two days ago, right after Elder Holland came. (That was INCREDIBLE by the way!) I don't have really any time left to say more, but just know that I'm doing FANTASTIC, I'm loving it here in Macau, which is very very different from Hong Kong, and I'm loving serving with Elder Lau and Elder Merrill! Things are going so well right now and I couldn't ask for anything more! I love you guys so much and I'm so grateful for all you do for me. Thank you for all you do for me and for the people here I'm serving. I love you guys and you all are what make me who I am today. Thank you! Until next week...Do what you do!
Love Always-
Elder Carey
