Wow! That's so awesome you guys found time to go meet Elder Morgan's parents! We were both freaking out when we saw the picture of you guys together at dinner! You guys are bosses! Pretty neat you got to stay with Brett and Susan for a while and keep them company. I'm sure they enjoyed it and loved having you guys there. Elder Morgan and I are DYING that you got to play golf together with his dad! We talk all the time about playing together when we get back!
That is INSANE about Peyton and how well he's been playing! I can't even believe I actually know someone that can play that well at that young of an age! INCREDIBLE!
Those chicken feet dad had and took a picture of actually look pretty good, to be quite honest! They're not my first choice, but I'll eat them if they're given to me. I guess that's another really important thing to learn on a mission. I just wanna thank you guys for all you continue to do for me. There are so many things that I don't even know where to start! It's going take more than a lifetime to tell you how grateful I am and how much you all mean to me. SERIOUSLY!
So, just real quick for my week..the part member families we're teaching are actually doing great and they're really progressing towards their baptismal dates, so that's a GOOD THING! Also, we've been teaching a lot on the street still and have had some ups and downs with it. Those who reschedule and want to continue to learn more are such a blessing, even those who don't are a blessing as well, but are often a little more frustrating cuz they either give you fake numbers or just never show to the next lesson. We've also been visiting quite a few families and sharing this awesome Stake mission plan that's been going on for quite a while. We've received a few referrals and hope to continue to see great success from it in the future! It's all a matter of following up with them, or else there's little chance we'll ever get to meet these prepared souls.
So today was interesting...the past week or so, everyone here has been talking about this huge typhoon that's going to hit and we need to start preparing for it. So, we did and the days came and past, and nothing. Then all of a sudden at 7 this morning we get a call from the A.P.s saying that we can't leave our apartment at all until further notice. There was a typhoon signal 8 raised, which is pretty huge! I think the biggest it goes to is a 10 or something. So, when it's an 8, we can't leave where we currently are and have to stay there until we're told we can leave. It just so happened that today was also our Temple day, but the Temple was closed because of the typhoon and we weren't able to leave to go there anyways, so that was kinda depressing. We were all really looking forward to going, but it's ok. Maybe we'll get to make it up before the move is over in a few weeks. Being trapped in our apartment ALL DAY today, until literally like an hour ago reminded me a lot of what happened last year during BLACK RAIN! That was crazy but boy was it cool to watch! The water in the streets would come up to the middle of our shins (for me at least). Well, I'm just about out of time because we still have a lot of other things to do while it's still pday and before we need to start proselyting tonight. I love you guys! You're all the best! Grandma Carey, HAPPY 82nd BIRTHDAY!!!!!! I hope you have an awesome birthday, and just know that I am there in spirit and am thinking of you! I love you tons! Have a great one! Until next week...do what you do!
Thanks again guys! I love you so much! Have a great week!
