I love to see the Temple, I'm going there someday

Hey Everyone!

Has it really been another week? Seriously?! Woah...Crazy! I can't believe you guys already got my package! That was so fast! I was hoping it would at least get there BY Christmas. Apparently there's something happening with shipping going into America. It takes a lot longer because they found a bomb or something in one. They have to re-open and check each one...just going into America though. Crazy,, huh? At least that's what the guy at the post office told us. I'm glad you guys liked everything inside and I hope everything fits. If you have any questions about anything just ask and I'll try my best to answer. I'm also very glad you guys like the pictures. I'm trying my best to take as many as I can and keep up with everything that goes on. Steven, or Brother Chong, is the one I confirmed in Sacrament Meeting, along with the Bishopric standing in the circle with me, he's 22. A-Sing, or Brother Chan, is the one I Baptized and he's 17. Both INCREDIBLE men and wonderful Priesthood holders. They are both great examples to their friends as well! It's so amazing how the Lord just takes care of everything like that. I can't even describe it...it's just perfect. Elder Oliver and I are having a blast serving together! He was in BYU Men's Choir before his Mission so he REALLY enjoys singing and I'm not one to sing a whole ton, so that's pretty interesting at times, but thank goodness we're Missonaries and have that promise to overcome even the slightest imperfections in a companionship. I love him so much. He's built me up more than I can say and has really shown me what personal dedication to the gospel is all about. He is the only member of the church in his family but his mother supports him and I can tell she is very proud of him for serving a Mission. He's most likely moving next transfer which is the Thursday after Christmas. So, we'll see who my new companion will be by then it he gets transferred! That's funny that so many people ask about me. Thanks them so much for their support and love. I have received Christmas Letters from the Goldings and the Boonsripisals. They were so sweet! I love those families so much and I'm so grateful for their love, support, and prayers in my behalf. It means a lot when you have your Home Ward backing you up in the building up of the Kingdom! It really does! I'm so grateful for them! I love them! I'm also very thankful that Grandma and Grandpa Grover took the time to write to me as well! I love them so much! It brought back memories from last year being at BYUI when I would take friends over and eat Sunday dinner with them. It brought a tear to my eye. I was so pleased and happy to hear of Grandpa's health is improving! That's GREAT! I will continue to pray for them and to put their names in the Temple just as I do with you guys. I'm glad Stephanie is feeling better. Sis, I love you and pray for your health and success each and every day. I love you Steph! Keep pushin along and puttin up with Dad in the office! Haha! I did receive Jim and Dori's package last week and I was so excited that they would go out of their way to do that for me! It meant so much to me and I loved hearing about Jim's success with his company! The picture they gave me of the Salt Lake Temple is on my planner now! You'll see it sometime. I also received a package from Susan and one from Grandma Carey as well! What a great surprise! You guys are the most awesome family. My companion and roomies can't wait for me to open them. I thank you and I love you very much for the time, effort and money it costs to make my life so incredible. I'm not opening them yet because our whole apartment is going to wait until Christmas morning to open our packages right before Elder Oliver and I head to our Chapel to call home. It's really starting to feel like Christmas now. The anticipation is setting in! That was a way cool letter that Brother Rawle, one of my main MTC teacher sent to you! I can't believe he still remembers me! That's so awesome! He is really an incredible teacher and has a great love for each Missionary that comes through the MTC. He changed my life in so many ways, I don't even know where to begin. I'm just so grateful for his example. I will never forget my time in the MTC and the lessons he taught, the games we played and the fun we had during gym time and back at the dorms! He knows what I'm talking about! That's so sweet he's getting married too! Give him my best and tell him I love him and I'm proud he found someone so special! I think they are both so lucky. I know his wife is getting a special individual. We did it again...we got our goal of lessons (21) last week too! It's such a good feeling accomplishing a tough goal and knowing it was all done through and for the Lord. Oh, the Ward Christmas Party...how could I forget?! What a blast is always was and of course the Christmas Program with the Primary! Elder Oliver and I are going to be doing a skit for our Ward Christmas Party which is actually on Christmas night. It's called "A Day In The Life Of Ma On Shan Elders." We're going to act out one Missionary who is BRAND NEW to the Mission field and one who is about ready to go home... Elder Oliver wants me to be the brand new one... so we'll see. It should be pretty funny. I'll try and get a Ward Member to record it so I can send it home on the next SD card. As for the call home, MY Christmas Day works just fine. I'll probably do it in the morning for me, so you guys can receive it on Christmas Eve. I'm thinking maybe from 9am to 12pm MY TIME. 6pm to 9pm Seattle time. Check to see if that's ok. You guys choose the exact time though. Just let me know by the next E-Mail, and that's when we'll confirm it for sure. Thanks! Oh, and I'll probably just end up buying another phone card. That worked out pretty well last time I called home. Well, I don't have much time left but I thought I would mention the headline of this weeks letter (I Love To See The Temple, I'm Going There Someday) Today was our Temple Day and it probably was one of the best Temple Sessions I've ever had. I felt so humbled and full of love, I honestly can't contain it. I really do love to See and Go to the Temple. I know and realize how lucky this Mission is to have a Temple and how lucky we are as Missionaries to be able go once every six weeks. What a BLESSING! Especially since it was the last one of the year and right before Christmas! Merry Christmas to the Harbour Pointe Ward. Young men of the Ward, listen to your Young Men Leaders, there are inspired, Bishop Jacobson is inspired and loves you very much. Your missions come up so quick and go by so fast. Find your testimonies now and share them often. You will be so blessed for every testimony you bear. Extra prayers went out to ALL OF YOU FROM ME THIS HOLIDAY SEASON! I LOVE YOU ALL! Until next week...Do what you do!

Love Always-
Elder Carey
