Drop Everything and GO BIG!!!

Hey Everyone!

Ok, this is just insane now...I honestly just E-Mailed you guys yesterday! Man, time flies...I have loved the experiences and miracles this past week! Some are just for the journal, but I'll share a few later on. Lexie is getting married?! WOW! You HAVE to let her know how proud I am of her and how much of an influence she's been on me! Man that is so crazy! I'm sure the guy is way cool and I'm so happy for both of them. Send them my love and support! Thanks! As for your question on Stanley Market...I'm pretty sure that's what Travis Tanner was talking about, unless there's another Stanley Market I don't know about. But don't worry, I was already planning on taking you guys there! You're really not going to believe how much is actually here! It'll blow you guys away, no joke!
That's way sweet that you got to check up on the Football team! I can just picture Coach Mack giving the upcoming Varsity some big motivational speech and gettin them ready for the next season! Haha! Oh man, those were honestly the days!
Boy, you guys must really like the Missionaries in the Harbour Pointe Ward right now. I am so glad that you know how to take care of missionaries by feeding them often, going on splits and having them feel the spirit we have in our home. What an opportunity they have. We were talking with our Bishop and his wife here and they were saying that whenever we don't know what to do for a meal, just go over to their house! Ha! It was pretty sweet! That is SO AMAZING about Lindsay and James! Holy cow! First of all, that Lindsay was able to come to church is way sweet but that James might be willing to start meeting with the Missionaries is truly a miracle in itself! I have no doubt in my mind that the biggest influence of that is from Calvin and his dedication to the Lord. NO DOUBT! He's an amazing example and inspiration to me and always has been. I'm so excited to see him and the amount of growth he's gained from devoting all his time as a servant of the Lord.
I forgot to mention it last week because I ran out of time, but yes, I did receive the package from Stephanie and Bobby, and OF COURSE I LOVE IT! EVERYTHING! The pictures are my favorite for sure! I have a few of them hanging right about my study desk in our apartment! Everyone always asks me about you Steph! ALWAYS! Getting pictures is just the best thing, honestly! It lets me know how you guys are doing and that you're still living it up back home! The Seahawks jacket is so sweet! I've been wearing it around the apartment all the time. I'm just representing good old Seattle and the Seahawks! Especially since I'm one of like 3 in the Mission from Washington. The other 2 are from Eastern Washington.
Mom, I'm not sure if you remember the time when I was buying my new scriptures from the bookstore after we had gone through the Temple and talked with the lady at the counter about my mission and where I was going. She told us about a Sister Englund who went on a mission to Hong Kong.. Sister Englund is going home today! Can you believe it?! Yeah, she's already done. She was a very good Missionary. It's just amazing how fast the days go by.
A-Sing's Baptism was so perfect...I can't even describe how smooth it went and how spiritual it was. The Holy Ghost was definitely confirming to everyone there THE RIGHT decisions were being made at that time! What a comforting and peaceful feeling that is. It truly is indescribable! Elder Loong Baptized an investigator from their area at the same service, so it was a combined Baptism. You guys will see the pictures, no worries.
Speaking of Elder Loong...we had "moves calls" the other night, which just means our whole Zone gets together and finds out who is staying, who's leaving and if so, who their new companion is. Elder Loong is moving to Macau for the last two moves of his Mission! That is so crazy! This is the first time I'm not going to be living with him! I will miss him quite a bit because he's helped me more than I can even say. We also became really close as Mission buds, but I think more so as just friends. He's one of the best Missionaries I've ever seen, no joke, and I know the Lord has called him to to do a better work in Macau. I'm excited to meet up with him after I get back. I love that Elder. So,,, guess who's coming in his place to be companions with Elder Feigleson. I remember SPECIFICALLY, when you guys were talking about a certain Elder before I left, you received his E-Mails, and constantly told me to try and find him and talk to him...that's right, ELDER REESER is moving in with me in our 6 man apartment! Oh yeah! I finally have someone I can talk to about BYU IDAHO! YES! Oh, and about Rexburg and our families of course, because everyone in Rexburg knows everyone. Ha! I'm pretty excited and eager to, not only be serving so close to him, but to be living with him! It's gonna be some good times to come! Elder Oliver and I are staying in Ma On Shan. We're ready for round 3!
Our motto this move is..."DROP EVERYTHING AND GO BIG!" That's exactly what we're going to do! We had a pretty cool experience finding yesterday , before we went to our Bishop's for dinner (go figure) was we were walking along the promenade right outside our Chapel next to the water. We stopped this girl who is Taiwanese but born in South Africa. She doesn't speak Cantonese but a little Mandrin and perfect English. We taught the her the Restoration right then and there, brought her back to the church (a good 15 min. walk) and taught her even more! We'll eventually have to hand her over to the International Elders here in the Mission but what a MIRACLE that was to pull someone back taking them completely out of their way! Right before we went up to her, she said she was praying to find answers to her prayers about more being out there in the world and life in general. The next thing you know here we come. It was interesting to because we rarely go along the promenade to find because there's often not too many people there. Before we left to go to the Bishops house, I said a prayer that we'd be able to find just one person on the promenade today...sure enough, there she was. WAITING FOR US!
Brothers and Sisters, family and friends, I know this Church has been restored to its fullness. That IS what makes our Church SO DIFFERENT from every other Church. I know it is led by a Prophet of God who consistently receives revelation for us and how we can more fully follow the Savior. I know President Chan is also called by God, and has truly had an Apostle of the Lord, through Jesus Christ, lay his hands upon his head giving him Authority to lead this Mission. I love President and Sister Chan. They are the sweetest, most calm people I have ever met. I love the power (The Book of Mormon) has to CHANGE lives! It is so real and so true.. I love this Gospel... I love everything about it! I love you all and I am very grateful for your support, love, and encouragement.

Until next week...Do what you do!
Love Always-
Elder Carey
