Happy Mothers Day

Hey Everyone!
Well, are you all keeping up with the busy schedule back home?! It sounds like everything is just getting more and more hectic each and every time I receive an E-Mail from you! That's good though! So how is everyone doing?! I hope work is still going well Dad and Steph! I pray for it every single day and I pray for your guys' success! How about you Mom? How's everything at home base? I know you're holding it down like no one else could! Haha! I love you guys more than anything!!! Don't ever forget or doubt how much I truly do care for you and pray for you! How amazing is it that so many young men are going through the Temple now, receiving their Endowments, and getting ready to embark on this UNFORGETTABLE journey of a lifetime?! I just can'te even express my excitement and love for all those 'soon to be' fine young Elders! They're amazing men and going to be outstanding Missionaries! I love them so much! I can't believe it's already time to call home this upcoming week! That's so CRAZY how fast time flys! Me and Elder Harper are sharing a phone to talk to our families. His family is going to be calling him on skype, but I think I'm just going to buy a cheap phone card and use that. I'll plan on calling home at about 11:00 AM on Monday MORNING...HONG KONG TIME! So, that's proabably sometime in the evening for you guys. I'm sure you'll just be able to look at the time difference on your phones or something. I'm not exactly sure of it. I think it's like 14, 15, or 16 hours...But anyways, I'll get 45 min. to talk and tell you ALL ABOUT HONG KONG!!!...so far at least. I'm glad you were able to find a good laugh about my "service opportunity"...cuz at the time, my companion and I sure didn't! Haha! But we do now. This past week was pretty intense! After we E-Mailed last P-Day, we went to a city called Mong Kohk...it's where they have all the fake big name brands and just basically a HUGE outdoor place with shops and stuff! It's WAY cool! Later that night, we met with a less active member, shared a short message with her, and she took us out to McDonald's! Haha! The first fast food I've had in QUITE a long time! It's just not the same as America though. Oh, and then a few days later we went out to lunch at a KFC! They served some pretty authentic Chinese food that you would not ever find at an American KFC! Haha! The next day, we had a pretty big Zone Find, where everyone in our Zone met up, exchanged companions and went out finding for a few hours. So, some of the Sisters were in charge of it, just pointed to who should go on exchanges, and guess who I was assigned with?...Elder Merrill! Haha! The two youngest Missionaries in the ENTIRE Zone were put together to go out by themselves, with no Senior Companion! We killed it though for sure! (In a good way of cours) We talked with tons of people, contacted like crazy, placed copies of the Book of Mormon, handed out pamphlets, and got to love the people of Hong Kong EVEN MORE! We knew we could do it right from the get go, since we already had that MTC Companionship unity! Later in the week, I also got to pick up my Hong Kong I.D. Card, so now I'm OFFICIAL!...and LEGAL! We had a couple more basketball finds since and didn't have much success until the last one. Right after Elder Harper and I finished dominating, one guy came up to us that we were playing with and was just talking with us about why we were here as Missionaries playing basketball, what our Church is like, and all that good stuff. So, we invited him to play again tonight with us at our ward building, hoping he'd bring some of his friends that we also played with. I think some people that we play with are beginning to not like us too much...probably because they're not used to tall Americans playing with them. Haha! It's all good though. We don't mean any harm. Just wanna share a message that'll help them more than they could EVER imagine! I was also able to have my first interview with President Chan a couple of days ago. Apparently each Missionary has one before each transfer. It went so well and he's very pleased with the success of mine and my companion's area! He can't believe how many contacts we've been receiving! So, that's good! I can't believe I'm ALREADY halfway through my very first transfer in the Mission Field! It all still seems SO SURREAL! I just can't get over that! Today was my first day going through the Hong Kong Temple! And boy was it AMAZING! I can't even describe to you how beautiful and well-planned out the inside of it is! We thought it was beautiful on the outside, but that doesn't even compare to the INSIDE! Only the BEST for the Lord though! It felt SOO GOOD when we first walked in too, of course because the Spirit was incredibly strong, but also because it was so cool and AIR CONDITIONED! Yes, that means it's already getting HOT!!! The Temple is pretty far from where we live, so we had to walk a ways to get there and take a few MTR rides, so we got nice and warm before we went in! Haha! Oh man was it ever beautiful though! I can't wait for you to see it, Mom, Dad, Steph, and Bobby! It's truly REMARKABLE! Just like ALL of Hong Kong! Well, that's about all I've got for this week. Everything's been going very well, as you can probably tell, and we hope to have another successful week coming up! I'll talk to you guys soon...LITERALLY! AHH! I CAN'T WAIT! I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!
Love Always-
Elder Carey
