MTC Letter 9

Hey Everyone!
WOW! Has this week been full of the Spirit, or what! I can't even begin to explain how blessed I am to be here right now! I love the MTC so much and it is truly one of the most remarkable places to feel of the Spirit and God's love. I never ONCE would have thought that before coming out here! What a tremendous opportunity I have right now to be serving our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. That's pretty funny about Mom! I had a feeling she was going to do that exact thing! Haha! It's so weird seeing all the new Missionaries coming in now because I was in that same exact boat just 9 weeks ago! They all look so scared and really like 'deer in headlights'! Haha! That's crazy about the weather though! It's been really nice here lately, but today was kind of cloudy with a few snow showers. Don't even talk to me about snowboarding Dad! It's going to be hard enough to not have ANY snow when I leave in less than 2 weeks! Ha! What an amazing experience for Justin Lee! Tell him how proud I am of him and how he truly could be doing NOTHING better than what he is right now! This is what the Lord wants him to do at this very moment, and nothing else. Holy cow Dad that is INCREDIBLE about Stephanie!!! I'm so grateful and blessed to have such a strong impact on her and Bobby. What an honor it is to write them each week and have them actually write me back! I love it and I love sharing my Testimony of this Restored Gospel with them! There is nothing else I want for them than for them to be happy...ETERNALLY! That sounds like quite the lesson you gave in High Priests, Dad! You really do know how to cut to the chase fast and invite the Spirit into the room like it's nobody's business! I won't ever once forget that while I'm out here! I'm trying to follow in your footsteps and do as best I can, which is somewhat close to how you do it.. You're right about the ward though Dad! I honestly COULD NOT have grown up in a better ward than what I did! Every single person was always so inviting, kind, spiritual, and loving towards EVERYONE! I love our ward and I love the fellowshipping that goes on there. That is truly one of the biggest keys in Missionary work. Our ward has ALWAYS stood out for that, and it's because of the members! I can honestly say that I don't know if I would've served a Mission if it weren't for the members, as well you guys, pushing me and wanting me to serve. Our ward continues to grow in love towards each other more than any ward I have ever seen! I can't express my love, thanks, and gratitude enough towards all the ward members that not only helped me, but that have helped other Missionaries gain a strong desire to serve the Lord. I believe our ward is truly a family, based on charity and faith. With our ward, ANYTHING is possible, ANY non-member would join, and ANYONE can serve a Mission, according to his/her's faithfulness and desire, just as long as they have help and support from the members! That is what keeps new members active and wanting to learn more and strive to be faithful and obedient. I love this Gospel and I love ALL of you! LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AT THE MTC!!!! WHAT???!!! Haha!
STAY STRONG EVERYONE AND PRAY HARD!!!
Love Always
Elder Carey
