MTC email 5 03/03/2010

hey all---------mtc email 5 ---------------03/03/2010
i just returned from another amazing temple session and loved it. they're still working out the bugs in the computer system and i can't capitalize or put exclamation points, so just trust me when it sounds like an exclamation point or a capital should be there. haha. how is everyone? i love you all so much and really appreciate all you've done this past week for me. hey steph, i loved the letter and the pictures you sent me. they're hanging in my residence hall room right now and everyone loves them. i was so happy to hear you had a great time in mexico. it really sounds like it was blast. we're going for sure when i get back. i pray for you and bobby each and every day and i really hope you guys continue to do well. i love you both so very much. hey mom, i was really saddened to hear about your experience going to the back door like you always would with teddy. i can only imagine how sad that must've been. he is doing so well right now though and heavenly father truly has him in good hands. i know this because he has answered my prayers and promised us in the beginning that we would all forever be happy. that's cool that you guys got to go to the ogles house and have dinner. they're an amazing family and truly show love to each other. it sounded like quite the party. haha. i was glad to know that peyton got through his wisdom teeth catastrophe and pulled through with children's liquid tylenol. haha. he's such a goof. i love him. that's crazy that you're sending that much stuff mom. holy cow. all the elders in my district, as well as my zone, are gonna love it. there's only seven elders though in my district and that's plenty of stuff you need to send. but whatever you want is good for all of us. hey dad, that was pretty sweet that you were able to use some of the pictures you got from my sd card in your lesson on sunday. i'm glad the youth liked them. it's been quite an experience here at the mtc and those pictures are only a small summary of what's gone on. we can only take pictures on sunday during temple walks and on p-days, so that's why there wasn't any more than what was there. i hope work is going well and steve and matt are performing well also. i pray for you all the time dad and i put both yours and moms name in the temple everytime i go. i hope and pray things at home base are going well too, and teddy's absence is starting to not be as emotional. i've already started taking more pictures on another sd card, so i'll just keep rolling them through to ya.
the life here at the mtc just gets better and better each week. the older district left monday for hong kong, and the zone leaders were in that district. our zone encompasses about 40 people. my companion and i were called in for an interview with the branch president and he called us as the new zone leaders. so, that's our new big responsibility here at the mtc. we're very humbled to have this calling and know it'll only bring more blessings to us as leaders, but more importantly to our district and our entire zone. what a privelege it is to be a zone leader. it get's pretty hectic, but so exciting at the same time. we get a new english speaking district today of 8 people, and then another cantonese speaking district going to hong kong next wednesday. we're all so extremely excited and blessed to have them. i feel as though the lord has truly answered my prayers and now i feel a whole lot better. i'm hardly sick at all anymore. the doctor told me it was going to last at least six to seven weeks, but it's only been three. the lord works miracles and i know this is just beginning. i love my savior, jesus christ, with all my heart and soul. he lives and he guides his church today through a living prophet, namely, thomas s. monson. he truly does receive direct revelation from our father in heaven and jesus christ. god, the father, and his son, jesus christ, appeared to the prophet joseph in a grove of trees and bestowed upon him the proper priesthood keys to begin this new and last dispensation. what a tremendous blessing it is to be living right now. i love this gospel and hope and pray it will bless each and every one of your lives. i love you all and wish you the best of luck throughout this next week. you guys are the best and there's truly not a second that goes by that i don't think of you and the love you show to me. please remember that and don't ever for a second doubt it.
love always your dearest-
elder carey
